I am aware of what the admins use. That is why I posted my comment. I probably
should have stated that the "NEWS" topic appears to no longer be used.
Is that correct? I hope I did not use the wrong words to express that. Please
excuse my ignorance for incorrectly interpreting that by my not being able to
see any messages in the "NEWS" topic meant that it was empty. I was not
aware that that meant "all its remaining messages are cancelled." I often
make the same mistake in the real world. I looked in my empty coffee cup just
now and thought it was empty. Wouldn't you know it though? It turns out that
all of its remaining coffee was simply cancelled.
Thank you for your kind help.

Now, more information: normally, if you click on a cancelled message, you can
“see” it, with their content reduced to “cancelled.” But those in the News topic
lead to an error page.
So my guess is that there’s a database problem with these messages and they are
not completely deleted and they are still half-there, and that prevents the admins
to completely get rid of the News topic.
