Good evening. I was looking into event listeners / callbacks for the API. I understand
that there may be a rare case where the API fails to successfully send a notification
to the provided URL, but I was curious what would happen in such cases. Is an
error sent out and provided instead, or does it simply fail to post at all?

From my experience, it silently fails.
