If you are talking about a set of parts as in a pile of random pieces and not
parts from a particular set. Then I would recommend installing BrickStore.

Although Brickstore is even better at parting out sets then the link above. Just
do a search for brickstore and download it and install (or just go to : www.brickstore.dev/
). Once you start playing around with it and learn many of it's features,
you will wonder how you ever lived without it.
