Hi everyone. Jumping right in…There’s this kid, living directly across the street
from me who grew up with my kid, well, they are actually now Seniors and the
reason that’s important is because I’ve known this kid for many years. And he’s
a pretty remarkable human. The boys aren’t as close as they once were as I switched
my son to a new school district and their plans for after graduation are just
different so there’s really only Legos that keeps em connected. I do want to
share that the two of them are on the spectrum. High functioning. They are similar
in many aspects. And so different in many aspects. They both want to be engineers.
My son chemical and the other kid mechanical. While my son loves Legos, even
he would admit it’s not the same. My son gifted entire sets to the other kid.
Parting with his Legos isn’t even something that would cross the other kid’s
mind. Legos are life to this future mechanical engineer who I adore. So I need
your help. He placed an order here on this site at the end of November. For specific
pieces. Not costly but I imagine so time consuming and purposeful. According
to what his dad learned thru usps, his order was delivered on Dec 6th. It didn’t
occur to him to mention it and thankfully his dad knew about said order and checked
in with his kid. Now dad learns about the delivery status as well as is given
proof when he receives the photo of where the package was left by the mailman.
Unfortunately our regular mailman had a fill in. Otherwise we’d be not here…lol.
The photo shows it was actually delivered, across the street from them, to the
house next door to me. Dad went to my next door neighbor to retrieve the package
and guess what….yup, they had no idea. Never saw it, never touched it, wasn’t
ever near them. After dad chatted with them he came to my house and that’s how
I learned about the situation. Those people are crappy people. Broke this kid’s
heart. And when I saw his face, I had to see if I could fix this. He sent me
a screenshot of his order. I can see the pieces he ordered. I can pretty much
see everything except the seller’s information. He said it’s the best he could
do and I told him it was better than what I needed. So….please, steer me in the
direction of my next step? I’m determined to reorder his order. Without his knowledge.
And before he gets Christmas money to reorder his order himself. I’ve never used
this site before. Ordering from Legos is way different from what I peeked thru.
I greatly appreciate any and all guidance, feedback, comments and even complaints.
Yes, I know this is at length. I’m not built for short stories. Details are important.
And whether you wish Santa brings me coal or a puppy for your taking the time
to read ALL of this, I appreciate you regardless!😊🫶🏼
