hi,
weird situation...
I have a new buyer 0 feedback,placed a small order [just a few tiles]
after 4 days I send him a kind reminder on which he replies with a ''screenshot''
as proof of payment...
checking my account and nothing arrived.
So I contacted him about this and asked if there was something done wrong from
his side.
because I have not received it.
no answer there
2 days later I initiated NPB according to my [and BL] terms
Now he replied with anger that he is going to file a complaint and send proof
to bricklink admin [probably the same screenshot] that he paid and I did not
ship it.

hi,Sylvain
inside the Netherlands buyers pay with IBAN [banktransfer]
I even made a picture with a camera from my bankaccount with the last transactions,to
exclude possible A.I fabrication...[maybe this is the fact with him?]

That’s what I thought / feared. At least with PayPal, there’s a transaction
number.

Yes, it’s a possibility.
Otherwise it’s either an error or a delay.
But it’s hard to make an error in the account number (the last two digits are
a key to check the integrity).
The banks also put other checks in place, like verifying the account number and
the name really match. (At least, they just did that in France. You can still
bypass it but the bank warns you of the mismatch.)
delays are possible if he used a foreign account..but maybe 1 day..this so called
transfer was 3 days ago..and from a Dutch bank to another Dutch bank is most
of the time instant.
on the ''screenshot '' my name and accountnumber are both correct
the screenshot looks like payment was done by mobile phone

Seems fishy. How much was it?
Let’s hope BL will believe you more than them, especially if they don’t provide
a better proof than a screenshot.
just 2,56 euro [including shippingcost]..75ct parts..a couple of white tiles
if he wants to cancel,..fine..NPB...fine..but this situation is weird.
if he has bad motives, then it was more logic to have placed a large order.
I could have shipped it based on the screenshot but I always check first
since it happens often that new buyers mark their order as paid but never do
but this is a new thing
still...this feels like being scammed in a weird way
hope someone in admin reads this also
[for their info,it is order 30104251]

I do not think you get the point here [tu ne me comprends pas]
I do not care about the money...I do not care about the few lego parts
could have shipped based on the screenshot and never thought about it
It is because this is a new way to possibly scam sellers [maybe.]
sending an [maybe A.I] screenshot as a ''proof of payment''
and contacting bricklink about my NPB
and if bricklink listens to him he maybe change it in a NSS..and leave negative
feedback as well

Come on... this problem for this amount?
If you've not been paid, keep the NPB and then later on cancel the order.

I understand you well, but the solution is pretty straight forward.
If you didn't get paid, communicate with the buyer, if still not then NPB.
If they send you fool proofs, report the member to BrickLink and open a ticket
or send an e-mail.
You don't have to assume or fear anything.
Note: encourage PayPal or strip usage, at least there is some protection AND
an electronic and immediate transaction number. IBAN is really unsafe. I know
it's used in NL and DE, but here for example more than 90% of transactions
are PayPal or Stripe.
Good luck.

what to do in this [weird] situation
Is the screenshot from a screen to enter the payment details, or from a past
transactions screen?
In the past I had buyers forgetting to finish the transactions, different banks
require different actions to do so.
Best thing would be that the buyer contact his bank to ask what is going on,
you could contact your bank as well, but you would need the buyers name and account
number.

The small amount if the biggest red flag here as to a scam. It's very common
for scammers to figure the seller will just cave on a small amount.
With ai and frankly, photoshop, a screenshot doesn't really mean anything
these days.
I've had people try this on other sites, again all for sub $5 amounts. I
even had a guy try to scam me for a $2 vhs. They just figure the small dollar
amount will make you just say "screw this" and pay them to go away, or
ship the order anyway.
Indeed Crystal
that was my gut feeling ,and reason for this post
still it is strange when someone tries this for such a tiny order
it is if your brain errors because it is to silly to believe it
thx
kind regards,Hans
