While building this set, I noticed that the instructions include more gray tiles than are listed in the Bricklink parts list. There should actually be 5. Brickset also lists 5 gray tiles in their parts list.

While building this set, I noticed that the instructions include more gray tiles than are listed in the Bricklink parts list. There should actually be 5. Brickset also lists 5 gray tiles in their parts list.

They are already in the Inventory, as Alternates.  See the note at the end:

Redesigned during production.
There are at least 2 different versions of instructions for this set. The differences
for the second version are indicated in this inventory in the Alternate Items
section with Match ID 99.

Quick overview of redesign: A blue 1 x 2 tile and a white 1 x 2 tile are replaced
by two light gray 1 x 2 tiles.
