It is unconscionable that so many countries and sellers and buyers are being
cut off from Bricklink with barely any notification. Did they really not get
a direct email? If true, it is unbelievable.
I feel incredibly sorry for everyone who is most directly affected in these countries.
Please know the community is angry that this has been done to you. The community
is hurt by your absence.
All “non-affected” Bricklink members should take this as a precaution that this
can be done to any and all of us. If they shut down operations for more regions,
or even the whole platform, we may get little to no notice.
I have expected very little from this platform for some time, but I now expect
even less - to poor customer service and an outdated interface, we have now added
unprofessional business behavior and truly amoral behavior.
Sellers here are held to a standard that the platform itself now doesn’t even
uphold. Imagine just deciding not to ship orders that have been placed, and not
telling the buyers. Just post it in the forum!
Members here have put in countless hours to maintain the catalog here and help
Lego fans. We now know that Lego corp. has zero appreciation for the work done
and the people behind the hardworking Bricklink businesses here.

I am not sure its unconscionable at all. There was clearly notice given, just
not the way some would have thought it was to occur. But we don't make the
decisions.
From another perspective 9 of the countries on this list represent the better
percentage points of global online fraud and phishing per capita. Obviously companies
like TLG and subsidiaries like Bricklink can't openly say that.
So there is an element of being cruel to be kind to you. You represent a greater
portion of the marketplace in geographics and demographics. Don't forget
this is a business not a charity.
I am sorry for the individuals too, but its all a point of perspective.

You really think 3 weeks notice on a forum that most BL members don't read
is enough? You don't think they deserve to be notified directly and given
a bit more notice ?
Many of those affected have put significant time, effort and money into their
stores and some would likely have contributed in other ways to the site as well.
To say nothing of the fact that they probably depend on the income.

Yes I really do think 3 weeks is enough. they could have made it 3 days. Anastasia
did not wake up one morning last week and decide to do this. It is not how the
corporate world works.

They probably did and do, I can't argue with someone when they are right.
A decision was made higher up, Anastasia is but the messenger and has to act
on those instructions without debate or she does not exist.
Corporate world 1:1= It's not optimal but that is the path we will take!

Let's not skip over the "on a forum that most BL members don't read"
part. AFAIK, no email was sent out regarding this, which I think this definitely
would have been worth, especially to those affect.

You are an intelligent & reasonable person indeed. I don't know the answer
to that either. Many make assumptions that emails were not sent out.
If those affected did not get any notice at all, I could agree it is unfair.
Particularly given the holiday/Lego upon us.
If that omission did occur perhaps the fair thing to do is to extend the cutoff
deadline for those countries until February 2026 so those who are affected have
an opportunity to sell off their stocks if they choose to do that.
But the reality is there are some who would fall in NSS. The timing could have
been better. But a lot of decisions are being made since the merger.

I hardly think you need to pull the "racist" card. A business decision
was made, based on a business model. No one, including me, stated or inferred

There are a lot more than 9 countries on that list.
I will vote for Bricklink closing all Stores that have the name "Steve"
in it. Without further announcement, ok maybe a 24 hours notice is probably enough

This. Yes!
No politics - but in the realty where US sluggers all kind of countries with
tariffs and all kind of accusations - don't forget not many months ago they
wanted to punish Canada too! So this could hit Steve too regardless what BrickLink
itself might deside...
Terrible terrible stand on what this means to other sellers.
If you are not affected - if you can't act kind and understanding - just
keep shut.

I understand the brand. Don't for a second think I will support others because
they feel a bad decision is made.
Someone could have at anytime asked why such decisions were made. But no we go
straight to online war and call people bootlickers and racist's.

I assume that all business decisions companies that global companies maek are
correct at a time based on knowledge they had at that time, compliance with various
factors which include laws, sanctions, security concerns and legitimacy. Foremost
decisions are based on investor/stock considerations and what is better for
that company.
I worked in this area for many years. Again a decision was made and a handful
of people saying its "wrong" is wholly irrelevant.
Its almost as comical as the handful of people calling me a bootlicking, cesspool
supporting seller who should have his privileges revoked for supporting and agreeing
with the brands decision based on what is known.
Again its unfortunate. That is no reason to attempt to harm me the way many of
you attempt to harm the brand by standing against its decision.
Bricklink was the last company to make these changes against many of these companies,
others including those in the specific market place made them long ago.
I don't agree with the haste it was done in. It could have been handled better,
perhaps more notice and time given the lego selling season is upon us.

It is unconscionable that so many countries and sellers and buyers are being
cut off from Bricklink with barely any notification. Did they really not get
a direct email? If true, it is unbelievable.
Enlighten me please, what are you talking about?
Tell me to my face that my store is a fraud. I never imagined BrickLink would
turn into a cesspool of bootlicking racists overnight.
I hardly think you need to pull the "racist" card. A business decision
was made, based on a business model. No one, including me, stated or inferred
Brazil or you were a fraud.
There are a lot more than 9 countries on that list.
Relived to hear that bootlicking doesn't raise any objections.

If that is the worst name I will be called in 2025, its a good year. I hope you
have a great weekend.

I wonder if you would feel it was unconscionable if it was you and your store
closed with no niece or explanation?
My feelings on the individuals concerned align with yours. I just choose to use
the word "unfortunate". A decision was made and they will continue to
be made. There will be good fortunate decisions and not so good unfortunate decisions.
I agree with the decision based on a number of considerations. That agreeance
has nothing to do with individuals.
