In the past I would normally purchase a cumulative several thousand $ worth of
items each year from outside the United States. The reasons were price, quantity
and selection. Now with the tariffs, the shipping costs have increased 5+ fold.
I am wondering if there is another viable way to ship to the U.S.? Just though
I would ask.

I got an order from UK without any problems, but was a small one.

In my shop at least it's not 5+ or such!
Simply the minimum shipping price is apout 40€ for a parcel, a specific method
which can ship DDP, and of course the Duties to be prepaid (15%) + eventual Sales
tax.
So it's "ok" for a certain order value, I'd say.

Some sellers in Canada may have more interesting offers. If they have what you
need though.

some sellers in canada (and possibly Mexico), such as myself, offer tariff free
shipping to the USA

Tom
some sellers in canada (and possibly Mexico), such as myself, offer tariff free

and I don't (not yet) but you will pay about
%15.6 of item price +$1.5
more than before.
So if the item price is $100 and shipping costs $20, now you would pay
15.6+1.5=$17.1
more than before the tariffs were imposed
(and sales tax would increase but for example 8% too. So that's an increase
of about $1.36 US to sales taxes)
This is not like 5 times more than before but I agree, it is too much.

Most of what you believe to be true is actually false in regards tariffs.
USMCA/CUSMA certifications allow tariff free shipping in the continent. I pay
and eat $1.49 everytime I ship to the USA and do it several times a week, none
of my buyers have paid a cent in tariffs since certification.

Guy's talking about a general import information.
Your very specific Canada exception shouldn't allow you to say "Most
of what you believe to be true is actually false in regards tariffs".
