I’m having trouble getting in touch with BrickLink support. I’ve written to them
several times (since June 10) but haven’t received any response. Unfortunately,
my store has been blocked from selling to EU countries due to the VAT threshold.
However, this shouldn’t apply to me, as I operate under the EU VAT Margin Scheme
for second-hand goods (“brugtmomsordningen” in Denmark).
Here was my email to BrickLink:
Dear BrickLink Support,
I have received a notice that my ability to sell to other EU member states has
been blocked due to the distance selling threshold.
However, this rule should not apply to my store, as I operate exclusively under
the EU VAT Margin Scheme for second-hand goods (“brugtmomsordningen” in Danish).
Under this scheme, I purchase goods from private individuals without deductible
VAT and sell them including VAT based only on my profit margin. Therefore, the
OSS (One Stop Shop) and distance selling rules are not applicable to my business
model.
Please review my account and remove the EU sales block accordingly, as the distance
selling registration requirement does not apply in this case.
Thank you for your understanding and assistance.
Does anyone happen to have a solution for me? (I’m starting to get a bit desperate.)
hi,
Perhaps in the shop management settings under Value Added Tax (VAT), change the
VAT to Disable VAT (deactivate VAT if it is active).
only a idea
regards,linda

I do not have an OSS number.
LMMBricks’ problem is that they sell for more than €10,000 to EU countries, so
they do need an OSS number…
… except they don’t need one because sales under margin VAT excluded from the
threshold…
… but BrickLink doesn’t care / doesn’t handle margin VAT.
Yes, that's correct, anything over €10.00 requires an OSS number.

No, that's not correct. In recent years, Bricklink has repeatedly activated
my account when I explained that I use differential taxation and don't have
an OSS number. Otherwise, trading in used Lego wouldn't make any sense.

I have the same problem. My shop has been blocked from selling to EU countries
for almost a week because I exceeded the limit. As I do every year, I wrote to
support to say that I don't have an OSS number and use the EU VAT Margin
Scheme. I'm still waiting for a reply.
The last few months have not been good, as business in the US has declined significantly
due to tariffs. If my shop is not reactivated for the EU soon, I will have serious
financial problems. This is my biggest source of income. It has worked well in
recent years, but I don't understand what the problem is this year. Every
day I wait for a response from support and nothing happens. It's frustrating.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention, we've reached out to you directly.
I'm also selling under margin scheme - also being blocked (again!) and you
are telling me that BrickLink will let shops through doing this even after the
threshold are met?
Well come on - open up my EU business also then!
I'm paying all may taxes and VAT (margin scheme) and it´s frustration having
to compete with all BrickLink sellers that are not - just hoovering under the
threshold hiding...

Dear Anastasia,
OP brought three distinct problems to your attention. Which of the three are
you referring to by "this"? It seems only the number (2) - which is nice
for the OP, but not nice for all the other sellers that experience the same.
(1) "haven't received any response" = BrickLink support has not responded
at all
(2) "my store has been blocked" = terrible to do, but personal and you
seem to now address this individually to OP
(3) "this shouldn't apply" = either the algorithm or the staff doing
the blocking is ill informed
