The parts in this copy not on the inventory look reliable, because the extra
items are usual items that were used to be extra in 1978-90s.
There are three extra yellow brick 1x2 and one extra white plate 1x6. I think
they were supposed to be used in one of alternate models but there is no way
to verify this.
Since this copy has a catalog from 1981, it is expected to come with
and this can be seen in one of the photos. (just noticed there is a typo in my
request: please change the quantity of 3040 from 2 to 3).
I believe this request is correct but I don't expect this to be approved.
(and I don't personally care about extra parts) However I submitted it to
have it at least in the record.

Seems there are 5 strings too.

Where do you see the 6th yellow 1x2 brick?

I noticed! Will fix yes.

The problem with making these changes is history, this set has been inventoried
like this for 20 years, it got many change request done and even a sealed set
verification...
But on the other side the BrickLink catalog is alive, it remembers its changes
and people can correct things, and it was designed like this from the origin.

There are five. The first time I counted them, I found five. I don't know
why today I saw 6 yellow 1x2 bricks!

Unfortunately his verification is questionable then! How did he miss a third
wheel?
Side note: the piece count on the canadian box is 186 and the current piece count
is 177+2x3=183 with sticker sheet and 182 without sticker sheet. However these
pieces counts were not reliable at all.
This set was not sold in the US. (and neither many other "shell" set)
