I run a BrickLink store in Slovakia called Bossk’s Bounty, and lately I’ve been
struggling to generate consistent orders. Despite my efforts to improve, I’m
still struggling to get an order per week, sometimes even less.
Here’s what I’ve already tried:
Fixed all visible errors and inconsistencies in my store
Adjusted prices to be more competitive
Increased my inventory
Improved descriptions and part categorization
However, none of these changes seem to have made a noticeable difference.
I’m wondering whether this is something that other experienced sellers are also
noticing recently, or if it’s mainly an issue of store size and inventory volume.
If it’s the latter, could anyone please share an approximate idea of how many
parts and lots are typically needed to start seeing more regular daily or multiple
weekly orders?
Any insights or advice from more experienced sellers would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your help!

For a small store, there isn't really a specific number. It is more about
having what people want and at the right price than total numbers of parts. Small
numbers of common parts don't really count as bigger stores will be fulfilling
parts orders for those common parts unless your pricing is particularly cheap.
You were getting orders this time last year, what have you changed since then?
Thank you for responding Last year in September/October i didn´t recieve an
incredible number of orders, but it was a little bit better. Also since last
yeah I have increased my inventory by a huge number, therefore I an having concerns...

If it helps, the past 2ish weeks have been exceptionally slow for me and multiple
other sellers
Inventory of 28k items is like nothing in this business unless those are out
of production items with high demand, low supply.
My store has more than 10k lots and 360k items and I receive only an average
of 2 orders per day here / 3-4 including other platforms.
Selling used could generate more orders and income but that takes much more work
and time to sort, clean, upload etc.
So yeah, this is a though road and if you want to do it full time you need to
commit and keep investing and uploading. Good luck, keep grinding!
Thank you for the useful info! Right after I posted this forum I got an order
of a little under 500 parts! And what a motivation it gave me I will keep
uploading and try to increase my store as much as possible!
As a buyer I want to know what to expect if I buy. So a shipping table would
definitely bring more buyers committing to do an actual purchase.
And also about shipping - consider to ship without tracking. It's cheaper
and as safe as tracked. Tracking is a service you'll have to pay extra for
- not a safer transport system. All packages travels the same route...
And skip the "no returns policy". In EU you have to accept a return for
any reason the first 2 weeks so not need to write your buyers off with wrong
information.

+1
Having no shipping table in your terms and offering only Request for invoice
option is a big no.

My 2 cents,

At first I thought having instant checkout would give the buyer the most of information
they need, but I will definitely make a price table for my store soon!
