I am trying to pre-order a BDP set. When I click the pre-order button it takes
me to my cart at Lego.com where I get an "unexpected error occurred, please
try again later" message. The cart icon on the right side of the page shows
the number of items in my cart. When I click on it the pages show nothing in
my cart. Anybody else having issues? Any ideas on how to fix the problem?

Same, tried different browsers, different computers, same issue. Why does this
seem to happen every other launch? *sigh*

Getting the same error message, but when I tried again it then said my limit
was reached for this item? I didn't order anything yet. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Same here, but looks like one is about to be a funded project so not all are
having issues.

I'm having trouble too. At first it did show up correctly but wouldn't
allow my zip code when trying to checkout. So I closed the tab and tried to start
over but now it shows a number in my cart but when I go to my cart there is an
error and it says there is nothing in my cart. I can't emtpy my cart though...

I am going to be really ticked off if I miss these because of Lego's incompetent
IT team.

Same issue; Lego site won't load my cart. This is worst BrickLink drop in
a while. The one in June went relatively smooth. But we're going on 35 mins
of issues.

Didn't Lego beta test the account/store integration. This is worse than ever.
Maybe the Bricklink items should be offered directly through the Lego store next
time?

with how many issues there are with the integration I highly doubt they did an
extensive test.

They also said the nickname on bricklink would change to match what was on the
Lego website...so far that still hasn't happened

Maybe they should have held off on the integration until after this BrickLink drop?

I have even tried to purchase anonymously (just checking out as a guest) the
item will at first show in the cart but when I enter the zip code I get another
error with the same message. When I go back to the cart it states empty, but
the shopping cart icon shows item present in the cart. I tried the Lego customer
service chat bot which was no help, and it stated that Lego customer service
reps were busy and would contact me later.

I'm having the same issues with the cart erroring out at the address verification,
then returning to lego with a messaging saying nothing is in my cart, yet I can
see one. The. next time I come back, I am over the limit on the item and still
unable to access the cart.

Can't even verify my address as a guest purchase.

Even logging into the forum took a few tries

Thank you for reporting this. We can confirm that there are temporary issues
with BDP orders coming from the US and Canada on LEGO Shop. We are working on
resolving these as a priority.

Update!
After an hour the system seems to be working correctly as I was able to get my
pre-order placed.
You might want to look in to how the system is handling limiting BDP sets to
two per account. I was just able to place two separate orders with the same items
in each order. (4 of the same BDP set.)

They might notice then cancel your orders. That is how they used to handle it
when people broke purchase limits. You could place the orders but then they were
cancelled.

That might not end well. I unfortunately had this happen a few series ago
and they cancelled all my orders and did not allow any replacements to correct
it. Hopefully they just cancel the extras, but in my experience they cancel
all.

Well at this point, I can only hope that they do not. Due to the issues, they
were having with the system, I choose to conduct an experiment seeing how far
I could get through checkout before the system would recognize that I had hit
my limit for this set. Obviously, the system is broken as it did not see that
I had already ordered my limit. I'll just have to wait and see what happens.

I had already ordered my limit. I'll just have to wait and see what happens.

Yeah, hopefully if cancelling they just cancel the extra order. I've never
seen them prevent ordering extra to date, but they usually cancel the order out
within a few hours. I think it's more of a secondary sets order limit check,
not live in cart check. But they might have changed it...and broke it.

Thank you for reporting this. We can confirm that there are temporary issues
with BDP orders coming from the US and Canada on LEGO Shop. We are working on
resolving these as a priority.

Update!
After an hour the system seems to be working correctly as I was able to get my
pre-order placed.
You might want to look in to how the system is handling limiting BDP sets to
two per account. I was just able to place two separate orders with the same items
in each order. (4 of the same BDP set.)

Update! While the system was not acting properly, I asked for Lego customer service
to call me about my issue. Lego customer service returned my call about an hour
after placing my orders. I explained that my original issue had been corrected
but I had a question about multiple orders for the same BDP sets, stating that
I had ordered more than the limit of two per account. The customer service rep
said that the system should catch the fact that I had ordered more than my limit
and would flag the orders for review by an actual person. This person would review
the orders and cancel the second order, sometime in the next few hours. As of
this moment both orders are still in good standing. I'll update again later
this evening.

Last Update! Checking on my order status approximately 5 hours later. One order
shows as awaiting stock the other order shows canceled (As expected.). Chatting
with customer service they stated the cancellation was due to exceeding the number
of sets allowed per account. They also stated that the other order would show
awaiting stock until the set was ready to ship.
