I’ve been running my BrickLink store for a while now, and recently I’ve noticed
a drop in orders. I’m not sure if it’s just a slow period or if there’s something
I could be doing better in terms of pricing, inventory, or store setup.
If you have a few minutes, I’d really appreciate it if you could take a look
at my store and let me know your honest thoughts.
Some things I’m wondering:
Do I have enough variety or quantity of parts?
Are my prices competitive?
Is my shipping setup reasonable?
Are there things in my store that might turn buyers away?
I’m open to constructive criticism — I want to improve and make the store more
appealing to buyers.
IMPORTANT: If you do not choose insured shipping, I am not responsible for any
lost parcels. No refunds will be issued for lost items without insurance.
- Yes you are. You should change that.
If you only ship once a week that may also put people off that want things quicker.
The other thing is more parts. Most people will say you need to get o 100k part
to get steady orders.
Prices are hard to gauge without looking at every item, and are also your own
choice. That said I looked at a couple of your sale items and the sale price
is higher than the selling average.

When I enter your store, I get a list of featured sets most of which are still
available direct from LEGO at lower prices than yours. If I look at your minifigures
and filter for new, I see a number that are "displayed by adult collector"
which means they are used.

Thanks in advance for any help or tips!
For 1, its a very slow time of year. But you don't have many parts - only
20000. I've got 100000 parts and still only get 2-3 orders per week.

The only thing appealing to buyers is if you have the right parts for them!

Small stores can still get regular orders but it's a matter of pricing. If
you go with the 6-month sales average then you're pricing yourself out of
a lot of small orders.

agreed
Also variety is a big factor. I don't have many parts, but I get sales via
having more lots. I get the customer completing their set, not the person building
a huge moc. I've never wanted to compete with the big guys with millions
of parts in stock, personally.
