I have my old, old, old laptop in my Bricklink/LEGO area to process orders, add
inventory etc. works fine for that (no Login problem). On my brand new laptop,
login works fine, too.
However, for my nice large screen desktop upstairs in my office, Login
doesn't work. It's newer, (maybe 8 years old) and that is the computer
where I keep getting an error message. It's connected to my printer.
It's the same for LEGO.com and Bricklink.com
when my account's user name appears (by autofill) and I press NEXT, to input
my password, a cutesy message box from LEGO pops up saying something like this:
Whoa! We think you might not be human because:
- you're moving through with lightning speed
- you have a plug-in preventing JavaScript from running
- your computer settings prevent cookies
and then my only option is the GO BACK button.
What's going on?
I've tried everything I can think of to adjust settings, allow cookies from
both sites etc. No luck!
1. Check Your Browser
- Use a modern browser like Chrome, Firefox, or Edge (latest version).
- Disable extensions temporarily, especially:
- Ad blockers (uBlock Origin, AdBlock Plus)
- Privacy tools (Ghostery, Privacy Badger)
- Script blockers (NoScript, ScriptSafe)
- Enable JavaScript:
- In Chrome: Settings Privacy and security Site settings JavaScript Allowed
- Enable cookies:
- Settings Privacy and security Cookies Allow all cookies (at least temporarily)
2. Try Incognito Mode
Open LEGO.com or BrickLink.com in a private/incognito window. This bypasses
extensions and cached data. If login works there, the issue is likely with extensions
or cookies.
3. Clear Cache and Cookies
Sometimes stale data causes login loops.
- In Chrome: Settings Privacy Clear browsing data Cookies and cached images/files
4. Check System-Level Settings
- Antivirus or firewall software might block scripts or cookies. Try temporarily
disabling them or adding LEGO.com and BrickLink.com to the whitelist.
- Parental controls or group policies (especially on older Windows setups) might
restrict browser behavior.
5. Try a Different Browser
If you’re using Firefox, try Chrome or Edge. Sometimes one browser handles LEGO’s
security checks better than another.
6. Update Your System
- Make sure your desktop’s Windows updates are current.
- Update your browser to the latest version.

Hope there is a solution for you somewhere
Very exaustive list, congratulations!
But then, check the guy's name...
