From a member that's preempted their complete withdrawal well in advance
of this amalgamation attempt, it sort of feels like traveling unimpeded
northbound while observing the jammed-up southbound lanes to my left, due to
a senseless collision All the while knowing, the wreckage will soon enough
be cleared and that the flow will be restored

So it feels...

I kind of felt the same way when I couldn't access the site for several hours
after I got off work this afternoon. From reading the other forum posts it seems
to have been quite the cluster! I'm currently just riding the wave waiting
for it to crash into the shore!

As an old surfer, what a wonderful image Though maybe reversed with the shore-break
added to it. In that "riding the wave" is the enjoyable part of that
beautiful activity, which is not what I imagine your "current"
experience is reflecting... and the chaotic end of that enjoyment, the shore-break
of your metaphor

As long time IT professional, this migration went exactly as well as I expected.
It had a secondary downtime that most people could have predicted and now people
are just experiencing normal issues as a new workflow is embraced, with the preponderance
of us all doing business as usual while a small vocal minority shouts "REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"

tldr: This really isn't as bad as those complaining loudest are making it
out to be.
