Bought 522 in yellow from a seller. It was quite expensive.

Got it and now I am thinking, is that the correct item 522? It looks super new
but doesnt quite match the colour yellow...? How can I distinguish? Sherlock
Lego anyone?

With the fabric cut on the bias like that it might be this:

Part No: 522c Name: Minifigure Cape Cloth, Standard - Traditional Starched Fabric - 3.9cm Height
*
522c Minifigure Cape Cloth, Standard - Traditional Starched Fabric - 3.9cm Height
Parts: Minifigure, Body Wear {Bright Light Orange}

Can you measure accurately or compare it to a known 522?

Oh, I missed seeing the other images in your original post. Yes, I suspect this
part is 522c. I hope your seller will work with you on this!

Okay, me again. Just hedging my previous statement... As stated already cloth
colors do not always match plastic colors. And some of the 522 are cut on the
bias as well. I can't confirm what part you have from your pictures of course,
but I would be cautious here as well and ask the seller to try and confirm the
provenance of the part.

The seller said, it was a lucky find. I don't know what to do now.

I've got the Bright Light Orange 522c at home. I will dig it out and see
if we can make a reasonable comparison.

Yeah looks like I got the same...

Found a 522 cape in black from sw0269 in my collection and made some new pics...used
the figure as weight for the pictures

So what now? I bought from that store only because of that cape and already marked
the order as complete...

Did I get screwed?

Cloth and plastic won’t be perfect matches.  Cloth is less shiny, so it’ll look
darker, especially with the weft showing (small bumps).

  Bought 522 in yellow from a seller. It was quite expensive.

but doesnt quite match the colour yellow...? How can I distinguish? Sherlock
Lego anyone?

Did you buy it new?
