Bought 522 in yellow from a seller. It was quite expensive.
Got it and now I am thinking, is that the correct item 522? It looks super new
but doesnt quite match the colour yellow...? How can I distinguish? Sherlock
Lego anyone?

With the fabric cut on the bias like that it might be this:

Can you measure accurately or compare it to a known 522?

Oh, I missed seeing the other images in your original post. Yes, I suspect this
part is 522c. I hope your seller will work with you on this!

Okay, me again. Just hedging my previous statement... As stated already cloth
colors do not always match plastic colors. And some of the 522 are cut on the
bias as well. I can't confirm what part you have from your pictures of course,
but I would be cautious here as well and ask the seller to try and confirm the
provenance of the part.
The seller said, it was a lucky find. I don't know what to do now.

I've got the Bright Light Orange 522c at home. I will dig it out and see
if we can make a reasonable comparison.

That would be great. My cape does look quite bright light orange...

Cloth and plastic won’t be perfect matches. Cloth is less shiny, so it’ll look
darker, especially with the weft showing (small bumps).
