I'd say, make one picture, then the second one.
Of course it's simplified, but it's a base.
Start small, make bigger ones progressively when more experienced?

I wouldn't bother. I used to make a lot of regular mosaics and did a lenticular
one once, using cheese slopes. It really didn't look very good. The viewing
angle is very narrow but large so it only looks good at a very wide angle, then
not very good for most angles, then again looks good at the opposite very wide
angle.

I'd make two good mosaics instead.

Indeed, the cheese slopes are about 30°, so, in order to not see one pic, you
need to look at an angle below 30° from the side, and that means more
than
60° from the front.
And that makes 120° between the two images.
Very far from the few degrees you need for usual lenticular printing.

Maybe something could be done with other types of parts 🤔
… but even if you put the cheese slopes “vertically,” you get 60° between the
images, and you need to find a way to connect them that way.
There’s also panels… but the 1x1 panels have two walls and that’s a worse angle:
90° (see pic).

I'd make two good mosaics instead.

Yep….

That sounds abut right. If displayed in the middle of the wall, you had to be
pretty much on either side of the room only to see one of the 'pure'
images. For a smaller mosaic it might work better to have a display stand that
rotates, and so can switch left and right, so the viewer is static but the image
plane is switched instead. But if you are doing that, you might as well do a
two sided mosaic and switch the display sides every so often.

Exactly.

The best I could think of is a 20°-ish angle with

Part No: 4569 Name: Slope 10 6 x 1
*
4569 Slope 10 6 x 1
Parts: Slope
placed vertically.
Very few colours, very thick, and the lips would still be visible.

If you have never done a normal mosaic before, just do a single picture to start.
There are now tools online to convert an image into a mosaic grid, or you
can do what we used to do years ago and reduce the resolution of a photo then
'posterize' it, reducing the number of colours. I used to use 48x48 baseplates
so would go for a 48x48 pixel image. It is a good idea to look at the pixelated
image enlarged on a screen from a distance and see if you like it, as that is
what the mosaic will look like.

To do a lenticular mosaic it is similar, you pixilate two images and base them
on columns of cheese slopes on the base plate. The aspect ratio / shape changes
so you need to stretch the image before pixelating. I suggest you build a small
one first to test the idea, even just alternating columns of red and blue cheese
slopes so you can go from all red to all blue when tilting the image.

Agreed from personal experience. I would bank this advice from Yorbrick.
