I want to find when Parts were introduced in their different colours

Is there any way to work this out from Catalog downloads or the API ?

This site has most of the years of when colors appeared. I am unsure if BrickLink
keeps track of when colors appear for specific parts.

Like when 3001 first appeared in reddish brown (probably close to when the color
shift happened since it is one of the most common parts.)
