Good morning. I have a display where I keep some mini figures. The base is a
2x10 plate. What pieces can I use to display the extra accessories next to the
mini figure such as the helmet instead of hair or vice versa. I was thinking
of a type of bar but I can't find anything useful. Thanks

For a helmet I would use a 1x1 round

Part No: 3062  Name: Brick, Round  1 x 1
*
3062 Brick, Round 1 x 1
Parts: Brick, Round {Trans-Clear}

an antenna would work well for some accessories

Part No: 3957b Name: Antenna 4H - Flat Top
*
3957b Antenna 4H - Flat Top
Parts: Antenna {Trans-Clear}

Is there a way to join the two pieces you showed me, or put something on the
antenna that will then hold the helmet?

I am "assuming" that you are trying to make some kind of hat rack/gun
rack on the side of you figs.....for lack of better words an "accessory stand".

I would often use 2 x the antennas as previous members have said. Then I would
add a "mini handle" on top which gives you 2 spots for a helmet etc.
Then off the handles you could use various 1 x 1 or 1 x 2 modified plates
to hold things like knives/swords/guns that typically fit into the hand of a
fig.

My apologies I am not a parts guy I don't know the part number for a mini
handle on Bricklink. But I know the name is correct.

Just play around and you will find something that works for you. I also often
used various curved 1 x 1 modified bricks to break up the squareness on top of
an accessory stand.

You can “skewer” the round brick on the antenna.

Be careful though: if both are transparent and in PC (polycarbonate), then 1)
the brick won’t glide smoothly, 2) with time, the two parts risk fusing together
/ become impossible to separate.
Newer transparent parts are in MABS (“transparent” ABS) and won’t have that problem
but it’s hard to tell the material.
Some would say MABS is a bit cloudy or doesn’t sound the same, but I wouldn’t
bet on it and I’d use a non-transparent brick.

You can definitely put the 1x1 round atop the antenna since it has an open stud.
Here's an example of what that might look like:

I would go with plain minifigure heads, the same colour as the base. Put them
on top of a 1x1 round brick, again in the same colour.
