This means, ALL SETS of Collectible Minifigures, that are sold WITHOUT the original
bag AND instruction now have to be listed as USED.
This particularly applies to sets with description "Put into ziplock bag"
or similar.
And what's next?
- Sets with minifigures removed from a new sealed set, i.e. INCOMPLETE SETS can
no longer be sold as NEW.
- Parts from a NEW SEALED set, that have been removed from their original plastic
bag are no longer new?
Where does this lead to?
It seems, more and more buyers are reporting lots to BL if they don't like
the description. It is therefore advantageous to mention NOTHING about the condition
in the description of new items!

No, you listed it as Complete even though it didn't have the original packaging.
Anything without the original packaging that is "New" must be listed
as Incomplete.
It is a shame if they have started doing this as it has been tolerated for years
and seemed to be an unwritten rule that you could sell new and complete without
the torn open packet, meaning many sellers did not keep the rubbish packets when
adding to inventory. Given the number listed, BL should make an announcement
that there is a policy of removing them now to give sellers a chance to update
them to incomplete without losing their remarks. Otherwise it is going to be
a lot of work for both moderators and sellers.

Isn’t it because it’s boxes now?
Even with the boxes now it doesn't really make sense to keep them. They aren't
like proper set boxes where they can be used to store the parts once opened,
built and dismantled. Once opened the boxes are just (recyclable) trash. And
now they are scanable, there is no reason to open to check anyway.
In all the years I've sold (complete) CMFs I've never had a buyer complain
about not getting the used packaging but did once get a complaint when I included
a load of opened packets as well as the figures in ziplocks.
I now get these deletion messages every day. Is someone out to get me?
Or is there also massive deletion in other stores?
Which "users" are even upset that the torn bag is included?
Isn't an opened bag an USED item?
But how to check contents in these sets?
It is a shame if they have started doing this as it has been tolerated for years...
See the others reply, it's not the problem.
Much more I don't think BrickLink changed any rule, it's just since recently
there's a Report button for basically every Lot.
So some people may have fun report a bit everything, and it may work as intended,
just by chance, depending if the employee have drunk his morning coffee or not

I've done a small non-scientific test, reporting ten listed as complete where
it is clear there is no original foil bag. 7 were removed and 3 were allowed
to remain. So it is probably random as to which person it goes to, or maybe how
they are feeling at the time.
