Hello I need your help and the strength of this community with one of my creations.
I'm trying to make the LEGO design of a missile (hand size scale). I'm
working on the wing opening mechanism part. The small size of my creation makes
the design with LEGO parts more complicated.
Here's what I'm trying to do
And here's my current creation. I want to make this dynamic rear wing mechanism
in lego. I have a lego part
25893
is clipped. This allows me to make the dynamic movement. Now I just have to put
a lego part on the 25893 with a rectangular wing shape like on the picture. I
put a sword on it, but I'm not really happy with the shape. I couldn't
find any other part that would fit better.
I need your help to find either a different mechanism or a part that would work
well in place of the sword.
My constraints:
-the thickness of the wing must be no more than 2 studs.
- it must be able to swivel
- if you choose to use a tile to represent the wing, it must be in profile and
not from the front. This is to match the real model I'm trying to make (front
is easy, but profile I haven't found a solution).
- the wing must be 1 stud wide.
- the black base (the one on the green circles) can be modified. But it must
not exceed the width of one tenon, nor the height of 2.
Use a 1x3 Panel?
It won't be centered, but the 4 will make the same effect viewed from front
or behind.
There is: Plate 1x5, Tile 1x3, Plate 1x1, the rest is obvious.

Note that the round plate with bar handle solution (coco9229’s original build)
doesn’t work: there’s not much liberty to rotate inside the clip, especially
the one with the short stem.
You’d better use
