Bricklink set inventory for this set has listed minifigure large feather flume
and a small feather flume in both red and black. However, in the set pictures
and box it only shows large three feather flume 1 red and 1 black used on mini
figure and this is not shown at all in inventory. Just wondering what is correct.
Trying to collect pieces to finish this set with instruction and box. I have
the three feather flumes and large single feather flume and black small single
feather flume.

What flumes are correct. Thanks

So to be considered complete would I need the wheel or just the tri feather tha
is shown in manual and on the box. Confusing inventory list Thanks

The Lego company produced and place these plums in sprues as this:

Part No: 4502 Name: Minifigure, Plume Feather Wheel, 3 on Sprue
*
4502 (Inv) Minifigure, Plume Feather Wheel, 3 on Sprue
Parts: Minifigure, Headgear Accessory
The inventory shows what was found inside new sealed copies.
The inventory does now show what is necessary to build the model(s).
All sets could have come with a few extra parts not used in the main or alternate
models. But those parts were placed inside all sealed copies that TLG sold.
These are explained on the help page.
https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=1562

When it comes with sprues like 4502, the whole sprue in its original form should
be in the regular section but one plume out of three was used on one minifig,
so the only option left is to place two other plumes in the regular section.

In certain castle sets, these "extra" plumes were also used on one of
the alternate builds depicted on the box or instructions.

How should the inventory be to look less confusing?
