I just sold one box to a friend in USA and use a empty Lego box to ship it.

This morning i got that message from shipper.

This is to inform you that the following US-bound shipments were rejected. These
were flagged because they contained goods made in China, which was indicated
by a visible “Made in China” sticker or the absence of a clear country of origin
marking.

Please take careful note of the following requirement:
The country of origin marking must be placed on the product packaging (preferred)
or directly on the product itself.
Markings that are only placed on the outer shipping box or shipping envelope
are not acceptable to U.S. Customs and will lead to the shipment being rejected.

Please be aware that as of May 2nd, shipments containing China-origin goods no
longer qualify for Section 321 duty-free entry. These shipments must now be cleared
through formal entry with applicable duties and taxes, or shipped using our DDU
service available on our platform.

U.S. Customs has increased its inspection efforts to strictly enforce these regulations.
Unfortunately, the aforementioned packages did not meet the current compliance
standards.

We also want to emphasize the importance of accurately declaring the country
of origin for all your shipments. Any attempts to misdeclare this information
to avoid the new de minimis rules will not be tolerated. Future instances of
misdeclaration will result in a $300 penalty, in addition to any other fines
imposed by U.S. Customs.

I don't know how this will impact all Lego box since they all have Made in
China mention on it.

I was shipping a box from Montreal,Canada.

Use plain shipping boxes.

That didn’t prevent Nubs from being caught: https://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=1515604

I don't think Lego can do that and claim its not from China.

I think Lego will get hammer by U.S. on all packages assemble anywhere in the
world since they all have the mention "Made in China".

Oh i just find a empty box without mention "Made in China" and it was
10188 Death Star - UCS {1st edition} from 2008
Lego will get really expansive in the coming months in USA.

Use plain shipping boxes.

They are allowed to open parcels to check if there are suspicions.

It will be interesting to see if they start changing printing on the boxes to
remove China, especially where there are no parts made in China in the set and
it is being used for consistency across all boxes.

They will open any box, lego or plain. They need a reason not to open it.

Yes I agree, but the average border person thinks "plastic toy made in china",
because they are not lego guys like us.

I think for Nubs and people like myself included though once our packages are
known at the border they will just push it through. I doubt people want to open
a quadrillion parcels a day.

Stallion Express service to us in Canada and cross border shipping is quite proficient.
At the end of each day a truck literally picks up all the packages and drives
them to the border crossing that same day.

That is how my shipments get anywhere in the USA in 4-5 days, opposed to Canada
Post which is anywhere between 8-14 days.

I was shipping a box from Montreal,Canada.

I actually went through this myself last week through Stallion Express. My treatment
with those guys is more intimate than with a carrier like Canada Post as I am
friendly with some management there. Meaning the level of feedback I get is therefore
more intimate.

I send several packages a week through Stallion Express and USPS via Stallion
Express to the USA as Bricklink is not the only platform I operate on.

I only deal in New/Sealed sets in USA and "some" minifigs. I have never
had a parcel rejected for the "Made in China" issues. Which would be
perhaps 30 parcels.

Stallion Express suggested to me that a "made in" label will benefit.
I am reliably advised as such CUSMO immediately releases my shipments on reviewing
the secondary label above that of the shipping label I have visibly on my shipments.

It works for me 100% of the time. Others do what you will do, I am only saying
it works for me, I am not saying this is what the USA wants.
