Hi,
I have bought the 7553 Pirate Tank.
But I see it is a special edition.
It has 372 peices instead of 360.
I want to have it sealed, so I can't check it by opening it.
I see on the internet more of these sets, but I can't find it on briclink.
Did I search wrong or is it ment to be the same?

360 parts plus the 3 minifigures that contain 12 parts = 372.
Thanks. That make sense.
But that the boxes are different doesn’t make it different?
So Lego means with Special Edition: The minifigsparts are included?
Does that often happen with Lego-sets?

I assume you mean set 7753 not 7553 I see in the United States that set was a
Target exclusive only available at Target stores and sets sold by Target had
the special edition marking on the box.
Yes I mean that one. I filled in the wrong numbers.
But is there something specials about those sets?
Or was it just a marketing deal from the shop you mentioned?

It seems it is just a marketing deal exclusive to Target Stores in the United
States for that set a retailer in a different country may also have a deal with
LEGO to sell a certain set exclusively in their country but it will be the exact
same set just the box will be different having that special edition branding
on the box. It appears in the United States law requires that the number of parts
an item contains is listed on the packaging that is why you may notice the piece
count of 372 is listed on the box in some other countries this is not required
so LEGO does not include the piece count at all on the box for sets sold in those
countries as it is not required.
As Yorbricks mentioned in their reply the extra x12 parts will be from the x3
minifigures that are included in the set as the Bricklink parts inventory does
not include those parts in the parts total of the set so you have to view the
minifigure to see how many parts each one has.
