I was looking at someone else's terms recently and a thought popped in to
my little head...

Will LEGO send replacement parts (if they're damaged or missing) from a RETIRED
set that someone purchases through me?

I have requested and recieved a replacement part from Lego when I bought a sealed
set on the aftermarket. Granted it was a common piece (6x6 reddish brown plate)
that is still in production, it will be a different story if it's a part/color
that is no longer in production.

Yea, fair point. From my own experiences it seems like it's always the common
bricks that end up missing. And thank you for mentioning aftermarket, that's
actually the point of my question that I worded strangely. LOL.

If it or its equivalent is still in production, maybe.

Lego will replace parts that are broken up to a point assuming the set is in
their replacement parts system and they have stock of the broken part.
