Hey people!
So, yesterday I reinstalled Studio onto my MacBook and started it up, everything
working fine. When I wanted to continue today and began starting it up, my computer's
fan started running really loud. Studio opened and just showed a black screen
(no yellow loading-bar, starting menu or anything). I let it sit for a few minutes,
but nothing happened and my computer just ran hot, so I closed the program again.
I tried starting it again a few times, my task manager showed Studio taking up
a lot of my CPU.
Has anyone encountered something similar and maybe have a solution or some suggestions?
Thanks in advance!

(Technical information: MacBook Air 13", beginning of 2015; macOS Monterey
version 12.7.6); 2,2 GHz Dual Core Intel Core i7; Intel HD Graphics 6000 1536
MB)

“Older” Macs tend to have that kind of problems (planned obsolescence…), though
the last reports were some time ago, and it’s generally after an update of Unity
🤔

Here’s the big thread about a similar problem: https://forum.bricklink.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=9421
(It’s on the dedicated forum for Studio and PartDesigner, https://forum.bricklink.com/
(menu Studio » Resources » Studio Forum) )
That bug was fixed though.

What version of Studio are you using?

You may also try the advices on that general help page: https://studiohelp.bricklink.com/hc/en-us/articles/19858376184599-Failed-to-initialize-Studio

Hi, thank you!
I checked out that article you sent and went to download an older Version of
Studio, but accidentally got the newest one. Now everything seems to work fine,
even after opening and closing the program multiple times, hopefully it stays
that way..
Again, thanks a lot!
