* Add 2 Part 3749 Light Bluish Gray Technic, Axle 1L with Pin without Friction Ridges
Comments from Submitter:
See page 34 of building instructions.
The set is from 2004, around the time where LEGO transitioned away from the old
colors such as Light Gray. The part in question was replaced by a blue version
but may have existed in a very short in time in Light Bluish Gray (three BrickLink
inventories suggest this). But the likelihood of the occurrence of LBG pins in
a set is very low and we would need proof from a sealed set to change the inventory.
It's more likely that some early sets had Light Gray pins, but that would
also require proof from a sealed set.
Instructions are often made long time before the actual production of a set,
so they are not a reliable source of the actual contents of the set. If you have
instructions showing a gray part, I find it likely that some early instruction
prints was made at the time the Light Gray variant was in production. But at
the time of the production and release of the set, the transition to the blue
variant was already made. So instructions may show a different color than was
actually included in the set.
