Does anyone know if the bricklink Stud.io program works on Tablets? I understand
that it needs to have either Windows or Mac to download the program. The Tablet
I'm looking at has Windows 11, has 8 GB of RAM, and says it's 64-bit.
Everything I've seen that Stud.io needs to operate. The tablet can also use
a Bluetooth keyboard.
I've been looking into a tablet because while I have the program on my laptop,
I've recently got a dog that loves to lay on my lap and will whine whenever
I have something on it, thus making it difficult to use my laptop. I'm really
hoping Stud.io works on tablets that way I can hold the tablet and design Lego
models while my dog can still lay on my lap. I just don't want to buy the
tablet and find out I can use the program on it.
I appreciate any answers to this question I receive.

Hi,
The problem is that “tablet” covers a wide range of machines. It’s not only
a question of raw power / memory size, it’s also a question of architecture.
32 / 64 bits is only part of the architecture.
The two main families of architectures at the moment are ARM and x86, both have
32 bits and 64 bits “subfamilies.”
To be clear, on Windows, Studio only works on x86 CPUs (32 bits or 64 bits).
That’s Intel and AMD CPUs.
So you need to check that you don’t have an ARM tablet.
More simply, if you download and try to run the installer on the wrong machine,
it won’t run.
And if it runs, then you’ll be able to see if your machine is powerful enough….

Well, that’s another problem: Studio isn’t designed to work with touch screens.
You generally need to use the keyboard, or, at the very least, the different
mouse buttons.
I doubt juggling with the tablet and the keyboard and the dog will be easier
than with the laptop 😅
Buy a lap-table?

The tablet I'm cureently looking at is a Fusion5 FWIN232 plus. As for the
part about the keyboard, it says the keyboard works even while detached. So I
can have the tablet on a table while keeping the keyboard in my arm and it's
still usable.

Ah, you haven’t bought it yet.
Well, technical info is rather sparse (even on the manufacturer’s site) but it
seems to be an Intel Celeron CPU. So, it could run Studio… but on the low side
of performance.
Now, if you plan to put the tablet on a table, another, cheaper solution would
be to put your laptop on the table and use a wireless keyboard.
I’d take one with an integrated touchpad
