Hi,
I have looked through my old LEGO stuff. I have put all parts and minifgures
that are missing into a Wanted List. The list is about 200 parts. I also chose
the max price (average last 6 months) and added 10% increase. I think this is
a good start.
Now I want to buy all missing parts. I also have excluded "Lots over max
price" If I click on "Auto Select" it presents me the best choice/combination
from bricklink. The problem is, it does show me now lots of stores, hence the
shipping cost are exploding.

How can I fine tune the selection?
Try removing the filter on your max prices.
Stores that have a lot of parts (types and/or quantity) can sell at higher prices
than small stores that are trying to get rid of unsellable stuff.
Try finding the rarest / more expensive parts first (you can (de)select parts
in the Wanted Items tab on the left of the Buy page).
Try different options, different selections, do it in batches…. It’s hard work.
It’s up to you to choose when to stop looking for the “best” solution and contenting
yourself with a “good enough” one
So, basically, it is trial and error. I just dont want to overpay certain parts.
There are sellers who are greedy, that is why I am using avg prive+10% to avoid
that. But the system is super correct so it cuts out sharp.

greed is quite the strong word, if a seller prices things cheap, then they sell
fast and buyers who want lots of different parts have to then spend more on shipping
to shop elsewhere, meanwhile sellers who price above that sell the parts slower,
but buyers can buy more in 1 place which then saves on shipping costs
