I don’t want to use PayPal anymore but it seems to be the only option for US
orders and a lot of international stores. I have written to both LEGO and bricklink
and have not received any responses. I just want other payment options like Apple
Pay or Stripe. I know they don’t want to remain neutral and not bring politics
into their business but PayPal is owned by Elon Musk and other South African
Oligarchs linked to racism. Here is a segment on “Democracy Now!” https://youtu.be/QAHSgVk84B0
I love Bricklink and want to continue purchasing. What can be done?

payment options are based on what individual stores choose to offer so bricklink
cant do to much, as for the only option, its not quite the case, there is also
stripe which is another popular option that many stores offer, in the USA (and
some other countries) its 1 of only 2 onsite methods which are required for sales
tax to be collected so you can look for stores who offer that

PayPal (PYPL) is a publicly traded company. The stock is mostly held by index
funds (like S&P500), which in turn are held by millions of people through their
401(k)s, ETFs or other retirement funds. The top owners are all large fund companies;
Vanguard, Blackrock, State Street, JPM and Morgan Stanley to name a few. 2,738
other institutions also hold the stock - think pension funds, college pre-paid
plans and investment managers. More than 77% of the stock is held by institutions.

I’m glad I wrote this query because I was under the misconception that Musk and
Peter Thiel/PayPal Mafia still owned substantial stock in PayPal. I still don’t
like PayPal’s origin story but at least I know that using it won’t profit any
of them directly. Thanks.

Something to consider - If the source of this story was wrong, is it possible
other "facts" they are claiming are also wrong?
Do your own research, don't believe the internet.

It is a huge problem these days. People believe clickbait headlines and youtube
videos.

Now that gave me a good laugh but I wonder if this was posted by a dozen 'influencers'
just how many people would think it is true? I believe Lincoln was also famous
for coining the phrase "makes you think" - apropo.
