Hi everyone,

I have a LEGO set (Medieval Blacksmith), but unfortunately, I’m missing the extra
parts.

I’m trying to figure out how to import a list of these extra parts into a wanted
list on BrickLink, but I’m struggling to find the best way to do it.

I’m still new to BrickLink and not entirely sure if I’m approaching this the
right way. Manually adding each piece one by one seems like a lot of work, so
I was hoping there’s a more efficient solution.

If anyone has suggestions or tips on how to handle this, I’d really appreciate
your help!

Thank you in advance!

Hi,

Generally:  You use the “part out” feature (user-icon » My Wanted Lists » Part
Out tab; or the Part Out link on the set’s page).
But even though you can choose to include Extras or not, you always need to include
the (Regular) parts to get them.  So it’s the whole inventory or nothing

When you need fewer parts:  You use the Inventory tab on the set’s page (NOT
the inventory _page_), it has small hearts on the left for each item.  You click
on them to add the parts to your WL.  (Full heart = part already in one of your
WLs.)
But even if it’s a bit faster than having to open the part’s page for each page,
it’s still a pain.

Better solution:  Use BrickStore (free, open source).  It can import the inventory
(File » Import…) and it keeps the info about Extra parts (they have a blue +
Status).  You then delete everything that’s not Extra and export/upload as a
WL (File » Export…).

I can not thank you enough for this answer! I used brickstore and am totally
enchanted with it!

Merci beaucoup!
