  Hi there,

Can someone inform me.
I have got an order for a lot of bricks and sent it to Great Britain. The buyer
is not happy with the quality of the Lego and want to sent the Lego back and
he wants me to pay all the money back. He treatens me with going first to BL

can he make? I dont want to pay this person back, becouse, it is my oppinion
that the bricks are useable. It is an order of 50 euro's and 30 euro's
porto payed by Paypal.
Please help me.

The Lego was second hand and cleaned on the outside of the bricks.

What was the condition of the bricks sold? Were they listed as new or used. Did
they have bite marks, discolouring, damage, heavy scratching, dents, etc? Was
it described in the individual listings?

did you quality-check each brick? used does not mean damaged. if a used
part has damage it must be described in the listing.

According to your feedback you have send bad used parts to other buyers as well.
Probably best to refund to avoid even more negative feedback.

if he start a paypal claim and he say that the goods are not as described and
send it back as goods he will get his money back from paypal and when you recieve
the goods back you have to pay your customs 13% customs charges , 21% vat and
10€ charges dosier kosten .

denk goed na wat je doet vooralleer je het zover laat komen !

I briefly checked your feedback: you have many negative/neutral feedbacks related
to the quality of used parts you sell. Used parts that are sold are expected
to look ok with no major damage (only microscopic scratches are accepted) and
no discoloration. If there is a damage, you should explain it in the description
(example: mildly yellowed, with some scratches,...) If you ship parts in bad
quality, the buyer is right to be upset. In that case, I would refund the seller,
and go over my parts and add description for parts in damaged condition or remove
them.
Based on your feedback, I assume the parts you sent has some major problems but
it is possible the buyer is nickpicking. Based on my selling experience, almost
all buyers understand a used part is expect to look ok but not to be in the same
condition as a new part.

Concerning your question:
- if buyer opens a claim, you have only the option to accept return. The buyer
has to pay for return shipping. Once the order is returned, he gets his money
back. This means you lose shipping costs and PayPal fees and buyer loses return
shipping costs.
Also when the package is returned, custom may not understand this package is
returned and may want to charge you VAT. You have to communicate with them, send
them documents proving the package is a returned goods so that you don't
pay any VAT.

- if buyer opens an NSS, you can send prove of shipment to help desk and perhaps
the outcome of PayPal claim and other documents (like your communication with
buyer that you are ok to accept return, send replacement,...) and in general
they remove the NSS.

Note that this buyer paid high shipping costs and also 20% vat so he is right
to expect parts in good quality.

As a seller, I would write to buyer "My apologies,... what are the parts
in bad quality" and if possible, I send them those parts in good quality.
I personally send the missing/damaged parts without tracking to keep the costs
low (for you, the cost with or without tracking may be about the same.)

I note that I have sold over 1500 times on BL and have mainly sold used parts
and sets from 70s and 80s, and had never had any complaint about the quality
of parts. (I did have complaint about missing/broken part, but sent them replacements
and issues were 100% resolved) This is not just me, I know many sellers who do
certainly a better job than me.

I hope this helps.

Your feedback suggests that you are the problem, not the buyer. Refund them whatever
they want.

You probably should not be in the used parts business.
