Finally finished this variant despite the hassles I outlined in my previous post.
This one might be my favorite so far. I was worried that the slightly taller
canopy might affect the lines of the build, but it’s not even noticeable. The
new reddish orange is a fantastic complement to the Ice Planet theme. It makes
me all the more sad that trans-neon orange has been retired.

They final picture shows most of the gang: standard, classic, special dark, and
iced.

Love it! Ice Planet 2002 is in my top 10, and the intersteller starship is a
fantastic set!

Nice job with the re-skin. They all look great in the final picture too!

Gorgeous, I'm a big fan of these reskinning mocs. I have an M-tron Battrax
I did myself around here somewhere. Wanted to do more but it's a bit of a
pain, as you well know

I'd love to see that. M-Tron was my favorite theme. But alas, trans-neon

I never thought of using reddish orange for Ice Planet 2002, but you're right--that
color definitely works for that theme.

I hadn't either. I just started with the original set and had some of the
reddish-orange parts in as placed holders. Once I started to get a lot of the
blue and white in place, I was surprised at how well the reddish orange complemented
the original Ice Planet color scheme.

Plus the reddish orange pieces go really well with the neon orange windscreen
and the granite counter top also makes it look really nice.
