It appears so, Blue Brixx lost the Star Trek license earlier this year.

Great, another licensed theme.

They are the best! Each new licensed theme brings more people into the hobby!
Tho the live action sets of one piece might be questionable 😅

= More MONEY!
That is good tho, but I don't like how all these people come out of no where
and buy 2 sets then talk like they know everything about TLG.

Tho the live action sets of one piece might be questionable 😅

For sure, TLG dropped their standards as soon as SW came on the scene, since
then we have gotten many questionable things.

I would argue that while some standards have demonstratively dropped, others
have risen, sometimes drastically since 1999.

SW IP helped bring Lego back from near bankruptcy. I, for one, appreciate what
the SW license has done for the hobby.

All IP should be as lucky as the SW IP.

Time to go to IPv6: billions upon billions of IPs for each of us!

And you can use local ones too: fd00::/8, you have 2¹²⁰ of them (1,329,227,995,784,915,872,903,807,060,280,344,576)

Would have to disagree. Over production of the 2002 sets was a big financial
loss. I was able to buy the minisets like Final Dual II at Dollar General for
50 cents - In quantity. same is true for the licensed NBA figure packs.

Being a space and starship fan, I'd love to see Lego get the IP!

The Lego Ideas IP Checking Tool shows 'License Conflict' for 'Star
Trek'. If I were Disney (Star Wars), I wouldn't want the direct competition
though and would have written the contract saying just as much.

Not going to hold my breath, but will be happy if I am wrong.
