The only difference I've noticed is that the inside of the top is flat in
the original. The new part saves some material by having the inside follow the
curve of the outside. This means that there is a bit more space toward the center,
but I don't think that allows for a functional difference. See attached photo.
I've added some red lines to accentuate the difference. The blue one is the
old 15429 from set 70816 and the reddish brown one is the new 7100 from set 10344.
