I need a few pieces that are missing from set 6080 King's Castle from 1984.
I'm on the understanding that the colour of the grey parts is 'old light
grey' but when I look for parts this colour is not an option, only light
grey, but there is a noticeable difference in the shade and I want the set to
look as it should, vintage, not with different colour parts. Can anyone point
me in the right direction as to were I can source this colour for this set please
or maybe someone has spares from this set.
Pieces I require are: 3004 x 2 (brick 1x2)
3005 x 7 (brick 1x1)
3023 x 1 (plate 1x2)
3623 x 1 (plate 1x3)
3832 x 1 (plate 2x10)

Thank you for any help or advice.
You should be able to add these to a wanted list, to try to buy them from as
few sellers as possible.

BrickLink's "light gray" is old light grey - the newer light grey
is "light bluish gray" on BrickLink.
I want to caution that "light gray" and "light bluish gray" can
be difficult to distinguish, even in the best light, especially with used parts.

You may also want to note that certain plates either have a solid pin on the
underside whereas some of the slightly newer bits have the pin with a hole in,
if you want to keep it completely authentic you’ll have to get the same underside
design as well as correct colour.

I think hollow pins weren't very common before light bluish gray came out,
that shouldn't be a big problem with LG parts. For absolute authenticity
you'd have to pay attention to the print on the underside - at that time
probably no "c)Lego", maybe a part nr., probably mold position nr.,
no more "Pat. pend.". But that's a tiny detail, if the colour is
right, the rest will very likely be ok as well.
Also: To distinguish LG and LBG, look at them next to each other in natural sunlight,
then the difference will be noticable.

In my experience some of the older light grey bricks are also susceptible to
fading / discoloration. It’s hard to find bricks which will be the exact same
shade as what you may have at home.
