I've been trying to become a vendor at some of the fan expos around my area
and stumbled across this while looking.
Brick----- is invite only, vendors who participate in business activities
at other LEGO® fan events occurring in the same cities as Brick---- forfeit
their privilege to vend at any Brick---- shows.
Is this normal? It feels BEYOND petty to me and isn't something I would
willingly ever sign up for.

That’s pretty much the definition of “restraint of trade”. I’m not sure how
this would actually benefit them.

If not Restraint of Trade, which is generally more focused on government antitrust
law and criminality, then perhaps Tortious Interference or a Business Tort and
therefore civil. In other words, open to litigation

Oh 100%. And I'm the kind of person that loves stirring things up.
WildBricks, can you PM me a link to this or otherwise point me to where I can

That is very strange. Maybe tell customers at other LEGO fan events that you
never attend Brick---- shows as they don't allow any vendors to sell
elsewhere. Bad word of mouth often spreads faster than good word of mouth.

I believe that is one of the shows that had an in-family falling out, so they
split into making two shows and have major beef between each others' side.
This clause is probably in there to make vendors pick sides.

I had heard something about that, but didn't know the name of either show.
