The worst part of washing baseplates is the drying. With up to 1,024 (32x32)
little holes on the backside. Another use for this antique plant shelf/stand.

Nice. I use a hairdryer to blow them out and speed up the process. Just use
a cool or low heat setting.
Hey, thanks for posting this! I can’t believe I never considered drying my baseplates
vertically, I just lay them on every available surface and keep flipping them
- I am totally going to adopt your method going forward. 🙂

Usually I just dry mine with a towel as soon I’m done washing it, the water is
so hard here if I leave it, it will have water spots and I have to wash it again

I towel dry them before but that doesn't get into the holes. This works quickly
during heating season over the register. When the furnace is not on something
to move air helps speed things up.

Forcefully swinging them while held vertically speeds up the drying by throwing
off water. Running a floor fan over any wet Lego on a towel or stand greatly
speeds things up.
