Sun damage can't be cleaned away, but most food stains can be removed with
just water. If plain water isn't enough, use whatever detergent you use
on your dishes. None of the popular brands will hurt LEGO parts, as long as
it's not a cloth part.

sun damage fixes are temporary at best. even if you clean the yellowing it will
return within several years and often be worse in the end. as for "food stains"
just water and a cloth should do the trick
