Correct. Really, 40726 is a box that contains some gear and a box labelled 40726
that includes the parts and instructions from 40748.

I wanted to also make the point that if you search in the LEGO app for 40726,
you are not directed to the digital instructions for the alternate builds. Feel
free to correct me if I am wrong!
