I've been slowly adding more lots to my inventory, between working full time.
I am asking, is there anything that my shopping is lacking or needs work on.
Open to any feedback.

Looks good!
Your terms are straight forward and uncluttered which is great.
Your ID picture is a bit off-putting.
Adding 'Brand new & never assembled. Removed from set & stored in a zip lock
bag.' to every single New item in your shop is unnecessary. If you are listing
a part as New then it must be never assembled. You should specify this for minifigs
only.
Adding 'Great condition, photos on request.' to the majority of your
Used items is also somewhat unnecessary. No one is going to ask you for a photo
of 4x4 plate. Photo requests should be reserved for rare items and boxes only
in my opinion. Great condition is also subjective. Do you really want every part
you sell to be judged at this level? It's good to rate your minifigures,
but most parts don't need this level of scrutiny. You can state in your terms
that your Used items are without excessive play wear except where noted specifically.
'Built once' 'Adult collector' are terms that are more likely
to inspire confidence if you really think your parts are above the norm.

Good luck!

Just watched that last night and had the same thought.

Hi there,
Have you checked your shipping methods and pricing?
Firstly, there is no pricing in your terms as to how much shipping is going to
cost you. Do you ship via letter rate with No tracking, or do you only do parcel
postage with tracking included?
So i just put in some 1x1 plates worth $6 into a cart in your store. When i
went to checkout, it didn't put any postage cost into the order summary.
Instead, it selected 'pick up' as the first option. This is because
i believe that instant checkout will always select the cheapest shipping option
first.
I then went through the checkout phase and selected Australia Post. This brought
up a shipping cost of $12.50. I assume this is a small parcel at $11 plus your
$1.50 packing fee.
For the small order i had in my cart, most stores would ship that as a small
letter. In my store that would cost $4.00 postage.
So you may be getting a lot of people shopping in your store and then not ordering
once they find out the shipping cost. It is fine if you only want to ship via
tracked parcel. However, you are a very small store without a huge range so
it is difficult for people to build a cart large enough to make the postage cost
worth it.
Buyers in Australia are used to buying using non tracked letter postage. Is
it a risk to the seller if it doesn't get delivered? Yes, of course. But
the amount of business you gain by offering it easily offsets the odd refund.
I have shipped probably around 6000+ orders via untracked shipping in Australia
and have refunded only a handful. I know of only 2 orders that never arrived.
Some arrived very late, but they did arrive.
Some people add tracking to the letters if the value gets over a certain amount.
That can help with more expensive orders.
Thank you for the heads up SurplusParts. I will look at adding the letter shipping
to my store. I'll go have a look at the Australia post website now.
Have you ever used MyPost Business and is it worth it down the track if my shop
picks up?
Whether or not you use letter shipping is up to you. It is a good idea to do
some research. Go to other stores and put items into carts and see how there
postage works with instant checkout. Read their terms and see what other stores
do.
I have used MyPost Business for 8 years now. It is great, but you do need to
do a number of parcels a week to make it worth it.
If you are doing more than 3 or 4 parcels a week you will get a discount, but
you need to get into savings rating band 2 to get good discounts. It is free
to join though so no harm to get started.
