Is there data on how many sets were produced when a set is not sold out (from
series 1 and 2?)
Obviously when a set is sold out there are 30000 made.
If series 3 were to end today would the lost city only make around 7,000 copies?

I believe they only make as many as were actually ordered plus (I assume) few
extra.

Yes, there’s surely a few they keep, a few they gift (see Activities in the Gallery),
and they must round up their numbers. Who doesn’t like round numbers?
But the numbers are secret.

I imagine there are also a few to cover mishaps...

So the least popular sets become the most rare sets - which may or may not increase
their value in the future.
Interesting.

That is an interesting way of thinking indeed.
Might trigger people to order Lost City anyways...
