Looking for a little help here to make sure I'm set up correctly.
I set up 4 shipping methods:
UPS Ground
USPS International (Using Courier API pricing)
USPS Ground Advantage (Using Courier API pricing)
USPS Priority Mail (Using Courier API pricing)
The system says that I can ship to 195 countries with this set up.
I just got a message from a user in Maine saying that I don't appear to ship
there (weird!)

Says you don't ship to Illinois either. Probably like the guy said something
to deal with your onsite payment
if I'm not mistaken in another post someone said the help desk said it was
a glitch and they are working on a fix. have you tried adding items to your cart
as I think they said you can still buy like normal it just says you cant in the
banner

I'm wondering how sales tax can be collected for those 40-odd states, when
the seller says they accept both USD and EUR.

the currency used in payment doesn't have anything to do with sales tax collection
if I'm not mistaken. I've had orders from the USA paid in cad before
and statistically they were most likely from states with sales tax

Yes, I tried it and it works just fine despite the banner - I didn't place
an actual order but I got further than I would have if there were no onsite payments
set up.
Just real quick for the OP - I don't understand the difference between these
two shipping methods (there is a difference in price, however):

It says you don't ship to Massachusetts either. I see you have Paypal onsite
so make sure you have it set up correctly in the Payments section of your store's
settings. One final though to consider - you may find that Courier API pricing
is charging too low a price. I"d make sure you have your shipping settings
done right, adjusted for packaging materials.
