My kids and I have built a huge Lego City in our garage including some pretty
impressive custom pieces. Sadly they lost interest years ago so I have decided
to sell the whole thing. Two of our custom builds are listed on Ebay and Etsy.
I tried to list one on here, but I am not sure it is even listed correctly.
I was wondering if anyone could give me advice on where the best place is to
sell custom Lego builds? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

So far my one of my biggest piece, a huge Lego Avengers tower that has a lot
of features no other one has, has had virtually zero interest.

In general for big collections your best to sell it on local marketplaces and
such. However you’ll usually get significantly less there then if listed elsewhere
but to list elsewhere will include a massive amount of work to separate all sorts
of sets and such as in general people usually (not always) don’t buy entire cities

Lots of good Photos is what helps stuff sell.
Oddly, or sadly, custom-built items are not something too many people would be
willing to spend big bucks on. Lego fans are, for whatever reason, more interested
in getting Lego sets that are exactly correct with no modifications or improvements
or even the use of alternative variant elements (even if the new variants are
better than the old parts). Some buyers don't even want old sets if they
contain newer parts instead of the old, discolored, scratched, well-used pieces.

[1] I am somewhat the opposite -- I modify and improve all sets I buy, often
the very first time I build them. I change parts, I swap colors, I delete parts,
I add parts. My personal Lego collection spans 48 years and NONE of my built
sets are 100 percent original and that's the way I like it. Stock-built
Lego sets are boring to me.
Now that I am older and now willing to sell off some of my collection, I face
the choice of trying to sell my "modified" Lego sets -- which people
won't buy -- or rebuilding each and every set back to the original instructions.
Since so many of the parts I may need for a particular set may be built into
other things, I may have to dismantle many other creations to harvest the parts
to re-build the old sets.
Honestly, it might not be worth all that hassle. I like my MOC's and modified
sets the way they are. I think it might be easier to just croak and let someone
else deal with it after I am dead.

make sure you leave the same person some unpaid personal taxes from the several
years prior to even it out a little

OKAY
I do plan to gift some of my stuff to friends and my local Lego club members.
The rest will likely all go to Sir Troy's Toy Kingdom. Troy can decide
how best to make a nice profit from my collection. 💲 💲 💲
I suppose the most important thing is selecting what Lego I want to be buried
with. I will be in that box a long time and I need some Lego to play with.
Definitely a 9-volt train since I won't be able to get new batteries after
I am buried. 🔌 🔌
