Ive been here a while and have not noticed this before. But what the heck is
a 'BrickLink Payment Connector application fee?'

I noticed this in my Stripe payment fees. This is ON TOP of the normal fee for
Stripe payments of 2.9% + .30.

Am i this stupid and this is something i never noticed before? New?

It is sales tax.....why not just call it that!? Good Grief.

Just a guess: because it's not processed as a tax by Stripe, it's processed
as a fee from BrickLink('s partner).

I mean, Stripe (and PayPal) provide a way for marketplaces to add charges (fees
and taxes and whatnots), they don't know what is what and would always call
that “fees.”


Also, to (not completely) answer the last question in your first post (“[is this]
something I never noticed before?”):
— Collecting Sales taxes has been implemented by BL in Sept. 2020.
— The help page (https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=2467 ) says it's
“partner fee” on PayPal and “service fee” on Stripe.
— We've had many threads in the beginning about the “partner fee” on PP,
but not much about Stripe.
— So I don't know if the description changed but it should always have been
a “fee.”
