I have had a look in the forums, but cannot seem to find a solution to my problem.
I have been selling for a few months and on the whole things are going well.
I have made a few mistakes with postage (shipping) but treat it as a lesson.
I recently sold some small parts weighing a few grams and felt guilty charging
Royal Mail's small letter rates starting at GBP1.55. This could easily have
fitted inside a standard letter.
To help my customers, I added Royal Mail 2nd class letter rate for anything under
5 grams. Of course, I then received an order for two bulky parts, totalling 4.0
grams. This fits - and automatically charged - the weight limit for a letter,
but exceeds the size limits.
So, my question is, is there a way of charging by size? Or more sophisticated,
weight and size. And if not, is this a feature that could be added?

Im not from the UK so things might be different there but depending on the country
some "letter" options cant have lego parts (aside from if its something
like cape or such) as they are often put thru machines so if your saying "bulky"
sub 5 gram parts cant go thru then that makes me think that might be one of those
options. as for an answer tho you can always add a manual option with a note
like "if you think this can go via (shipping name here) please choose this
option and ill confirm if that's possible and invoice accordingly" or
something

or you can just add max sizes in the "Package restriction" section of
the shipping option
Awesome, thanks for your help. It was not obvious to me. Let's hope I have
set the right values and it works out.
Thank you.

I think it is a question to Bricklink. The shipping cost template is very complex.
For example, the freight with weight, we can not set the first weight freight
and each renewal freight. We must fill shipping cost with each weight range.
So it greatly increase the seller's work. I know what you want. Making an
intelligent choice between size and weight seems impossible at the moment.
