How long does it usually take for there to be an inventory for new sets so that
they can be parted out easily?

I was given Iron Man and Iron Legion vs Hydra Soldier (76288) and didn’t want
it so thought I would part it out but see that it hasn’t been inventoried. I
just parted out Barad Dur, Medieval Town Square, and Snow White’s Cottage which
are all from this year so I just was wondering if anyone knew. Thank y’all!

In general:
It takes as long as it takes for someone to get the set in hands and start the
inventory and add the new parts (with pics for decors…) and add the minifigures
and then for the admins to check all that.
So it can take from 1 day to several weeks to never.¹

For this set:
It's “pending approval,” so the submitter thinks their job is done and it
now depends if the job was done correctly and the time the admins can spare to
check it.

1. It can also be zero days if someone had the set before the official
release date and prepared everything and happens to be an admin who can accept
their own submissions immediately

"Pending Approval" can mean anything from the inventory contains a single
item all the way to the inventory is actually complete and pending approval.

In this case, the inventory has a number of things left to complete and looks
like it might not meet our requirements for new set inventories (must be done
from a sealed set and not instructions). Therefore, it could still be a while
for this one since we will probably have to remove the pending inventory.

I only had the opportunity to do one inventory, a rather simple one at that,
and I thought the submitter had to validate it somehow before it became “pending
approval.”  Hence “submitter thinks their job is done.”  But, yes, it could also
be badly done.
