Maybe it's just easier to remove those countries from your Ship to list .Seems
odd to me that a buyer has to provide a Tax ID Number - surely the VAT number
is sufficient ? I live in the US so I can't help otherwise.

Some countries don’t have a “vat” system like they do in europe. For example
in Brazil they have super high import taxes and lots of rules and stuff so the
buyer has to include their tax number or else it will cause problems. It seems
to be a uniquely dhl thing tho for the requirement of those numbers tho

That would throwing the baby with the bathwater.
I don't need anything so extreme.
Of course I ask my costumers for the needed information which they graciously
provide.
Only thing is that it can take some time, preventing my goal of sending orders
within 24 business hours.
I just would like to speed up the process, akin to what the required Phone Number
field does, that's all.
It was only a suggestion and because this is limited to DHL & a handful of countries,
i doubt that BL is going to provide an option to request this. I recommend adding
it to your store terms and telling buyers it's required if they live in xyz
countries. Other solution is to maybe use a different carrier if possible that
doesn't require this.

I worked with other carriers already and DHL Express is, by a landslide, the
fastest of them all. And also the best at solving issues and hiccups. Several
hundreds of orders now with 100% success.
Also UPS asked for this info for some countries too, so it is not a DHL exclusive.

de Pessoas Físicas" (CPF), and companies need their "Cadastro Nacional
da Pessoa Jurídica" (CNPJ). This is independent of DHL. If these tax numbers
are missing, the importer may get into trouble or the goods may be returned.
