I recently placed an Oder from a newish store (77 orders 100% praise) and find
myself in a bit of a quandary. There has been 0 communication from the seller(ie
your order has been posted, thanks for the order etc), even when I asked them
to provide the tracking number for my order (which I eventually found at the
top of my order) . I have tracked the order and it aus post have marked it as
delivered but I didn’t get it.
I don’t want to give negative feedback but I also don’t want to give positive
feedback (unless the post are able to figure out what has happened and get it
too me)
I was going to leave neutral feedback and then change it after if my Oder shows
up but after looking though the forums I don’t know if this is the right thing
to do either?! For all I know the address was written wrong or hard to read
resulting in missdelivery or it could be auspost bundling it with someone else’s
mail..there are arguments for both sides as there are a few unknowns but I feel
like the lack of communication on top of not getting the order does warrant
neutral fb?!
Can anyone offer some advice or suggestions please?

Technically speaking the seller is fully responsible for the package until it’s
delivered but you mentioned it was marked as delivered. There is always the possibility
of the package being stolen in which case it would fall under your house insurance.
Tho there are other possibilities. Perhaps the seller added the wrong tracking
number to your order, at least here in Canada when you view tracking it tells
you down to the city that’s it’s out for delivery. Does yours show the correct
city and do the times of the label being made and shipped line up with your order?
If it does seem like the tracking is real and it is marked as delivered then
technically speaking the seller has no further responsibility tho it is weird
that they are not responding. The lack of any communication could be a good reason
for a neutral

Some of the delivery info lines up (departure date and location and transit stops)but
some of it’s missing (as in it says delivery address is unavailable)so it’s hard
to say?! I’ve never had an issue like this before and I know it wasn’t stolen
as I was home all day and checked the post several times. I don’t want to be
that person, as I said it could be auspost fault but the seller may have put
the incorrect address. From what I’ve read neutral is the same as negative for
a store but if it prevents it from happening to someone else it may be a lesson
learned. I need to wait until I hear back from the post office as I have raised
a query regarding it

If you truly believe that the seller messed up then you can file a PayPal claim
and let them decide

Just file a Paypal claim if the buyer won't communicate.

You are worrying too much about feedback and not enough about getting your money
back.

As for the reasons why it didn't show up, it could be any one of a dozen
issues.

Some further information regarding the stores fb. It’s 28 praises from 77 orders
(does that mean no feedback from 49 orders?) with 3 cancelled

Those are normal stats. Most orders never end up with feedback from the buyer.
Plus with so few orders it could be very skewed compared to the average feedback
rate

Yeah the feedback system needs to be reworked I think. At the very least people
should have enough space to leave more detailed feedback for negative or nuetral
fb

I've had many cancellations but it's mostly people who dont read conditions
and have ordered something that wont fit in Canadian Oversize lettermail (max
2cm thick)

In Canada we can file a claim after 60 days of delivery notice, check to see
if your postal service has claims.

Once I got a delivered status from a website but there was no parcel. I freaked
out all night and then it was delivered in the morning, turns out they had outsourced
their logistics and when the delivery company picked up the bundle it marked
my parcel as delivered. Weird stuff.

How fast did they respond to your order when you first put it through? Some sellers
seem to take a couple days to check and manage their lego store.

Best of luck!

They were a bit slow from order to post but they did have a note saying that
they weren’t shipping during a certain period, they also disclosed it’s a 2-4
day turnaround on their store page. While the time between order and postage
was slow it was within a timeframe they had indicate on their store so I can’t
complain about that

Hey mate,

Australia Post, if it was delivered through them, take a photo of all deliveries
that are left unattended at peoples home. They also enter addresses into the
system of the order, even though you may not be able to see it on the tracking
information.

I had one order not arrive, and after contacting Australia Post, they sent me
a photo of the parcel being put into the letterbox. The buyer confirmed that
it was their letterbox so it was obviously stolen after that, before they could
get it. I refunded them their money and all was good.

If it was just a smaller parcel sometimes it is put in your letterbox and they
don't knock on your door, so there is a possibility it was stolen and you
never knew it was actually there.

If you want too, you can contact Australia Post and they may be able to tell
you what has happened. Whilst this is usually the sellers responsibility, at
least you may be able to find out what happened.

If the order is lost, or has been delivered to the wrong address and the seller
is not co-operating, then you can lodge a paypal claim for a refund.

I wouldn't worry too much about the feedback just yet as you have 6 months
from the time of the order. Yes, i do agree, if they are not communicating with
you at all, in time a neutral feedback is more than warranted.

First thing is to get the order or your money back.

Reached out to auspost and waiting to hear back, just a bit of a waiting game
at the moment. First time I’ve ever had any problems so might be a new or different
postie as the usual guy always leaves it at the front door and knocks 🤷‍♀️
