Hello,

Apologies in advance for my noobish question. It seem like Bricklink continues
to change payment and shipping options on me or at minimum enabling or disabling
them as it pleases (or perhaps I am imagining things).

I am open to shipping to most places around the globe (I believe I am currently
set up to do so).

My issue is two-fold(ish).

I would like to keep an automatic process in place for small and light items
(minifigs, instruction books and small pieces) to those in Canada who wish to
pay with PayPal). I had one such automatic option but it did NOT allow people
to bypass it if they preferred to etransfer me (which some people prefer). I
cannot
seem to keep an automatic option and simultaneously allow for a "request
quote" option (or some other means) to bypass PayPal and request a quote
to pay with etransfer (or local pickup) OR shipping costs to a destination other
than Canada.

I hope this makes sense and that some fellow Canadian BL users (or other sage
BL users) can help guide me in the right direction - I found another fellow with
whom I had an active cart yesterday whose shipping options had also been bade
mute for some reason.

Thanks in advance!

You are allowed to open a second account for testing purposes and then see if
you can keep messing around with it until it eventually works, otherwise posting
pictures of your shipping methods in the forums might let others help

Great, thank you. I think I need to go through and delete all the various options
that currently exist under my account (I only yesterday found out how they can
be deleted - duh!).

My son has an account (since he likes to save his own wanted lists etc.) so we
can do that, without the need for an additional account. If that does not generate
the desired result, I will start posting screen shots (another great suggestion).

If you provide 2 different shipping options for the store - 1 instant checkout
and 1 manual, the buyers should be able to choose. But the payment options have
the be the same. I do not believe you can offer 1 shipping option with 1 form
of payment ( Paypal) and the same shipping option or different option with a
different form of payment. You can only offer the different payment options and
let the buyer choose. I do local pickups but only on manual option and only if
the buyer requests it - In fact I keep the manual option turned off and turn
it on by request. So most of my store is IC and the buyers use Paypal.
I also take Stripe - again it's buyer's choice. I suggest you consider
the local pickup option as a manual option and keep it off unless a buyer requests
it. Then you can turn it on, tell them to refresh the page and it should show
up as an option . Turn it off again when they have made the order. It's
a bunch of steps but it would keep it all separate.

Good idea on keeping it separate - I have such a small store, turning it on and
off it not a big deal. Thanks!

Now I just have to figure out to have two options available, with the same payment
options, as you mentioned

If you have 2 options available with the same payment options, make sure to set them to different groups. This will then let your buyers choose which one to pick, otherwise if they are not set as Group x & Group Y, the system will always default to just one and not show the buyer any other options. Let me know if you have specific questions, you are welcome to private message me at my store.
